Ever ask yourself what IS a ‘Union’? A Union is the Black Panther Party. A Union is the ANC (African National Congress) a Union is SNCC, is the Young Lords Party, is what people all across Argentina are doing. It’s the EZLN (Zapatistas). What a Union is NOT is SEIU, Unite HERE (sorry, Danny), or the UFT… Anyone out there work for a “Union”? How many of YOU are organized? NOT “organized” as in – your desk looks neat, or you have a kick-ass database of your “targets”… How many people, regular people – Union “Organizers” ARE EVEN IN A UNION? Do you know how hard UNIONS THEMSELVES FIGHT AGAINST EMPLOYEE UNIONS??? Do a little research – how many people, employees of Unions have PEOPLE OF COLOR IN DECISION-MAKING CAPACITIES??? I mean, REALLY… Why is it that “we” are organizing people of color, people who are recent immigrants, people who have yet to master ‘English’? Have any of you read the Recovery Act???
Before any of you trash John Boehner and any of the other people who threw a hissy fit for not supporting the bill, you really should TRY to read it…get back to me in…lets say about a week or so. It will take you at least that long to get through it. It will take longer to understand all the crap that is in it. It is so loaded with PORK. A Bill is not just a Bill. Take a class in politics or better yet, go sit in on a Congressional debate. It will open your eyes!

By the way, screwing up trade with Mexico is going to enhance our chances at another economic depression…read up on what started us down the slippery slope of the last Great Depression. We are not alone in this world folks!
