Displaying 1 To 1 Of 1 Comments Ron Paul Crosses Writers’ Picket Line Why on earth should any government official “support” a strike? It’s none of their business. A strike such as this one is between the writers and the owners/producers/etc. of television and movies. It should be resolved between them. If writers are that important, and irreplacable, then they will eventually get what they want. If it turns out that they are not worth the extra consideration, they won’t. People who ask for government “support” should remember that such support can go either way. The only thing the government should be doing is making sure there is no physical violence involved in the negotiation process, in their duties as law enforcement agents. If you ask for anything else, you are giving Uncle Sam too much power over what should be a contractual dispute between two parties. Comment Posted By Melissa L On December 6, 2007 @ 12:16 pm

Have any of you read the Recovery Act???
Before any of you trash John Boehner and any of the other people who threw a hissy fit for not supporting the bill, you really should TRY to read it…get back to me in…lets say about a week or so. It will take you at least that long to get through it. It will take longer to understand all the crap that is in it. It is so loaded with PORK. A Bill is not just a Bill. Take a class in politics or better yet, go sit in on a Congressional debate. It will open your eyes!
