I applied with Safeway in Colorado, it is a union shop, and I was told that I would be paid $8.09 an hour 20 to 40 a week (Not a living wage in Colorado). I was also informed that for the benefit of Union representation I was going to be charged nearly $180.00. Yeah, that was expected, but the aditional $10.00 dues per week is….(insert 4 letter word). And no medical or other benifits for at least a year. Wal Mart pays more per hour and they offer benefits after 90 days – and they don’t insist that you pay for a Union that is nothing more than a government sanctioned protection racket. Before any of you trash John Boehner and any of the other people who threw a hissy fit for not supporting the bill, you really should TRY to read it…get back to me in…lets say about a week or so. It will take you at least that long to get through it. It will take longer to understand all the crap that is in it. It is so loaded with PORK. A Bill is not just a Bill. Take a class in politics or better yet, go sit in on a Congressional debate. It will open your eyes!

By the way, screwing up trade with Mexico is going to enhance our chances at another economic depression…read up on what started us down the slippery slope of the last Great Depression. We are not alone in this world folks!
