New Guide Offers Personalized Reports on Affordable Care Act Benefits

March 5th, 2012 No comments

Are you looking for information about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and its benefits for you and your family? A new online tool from AARP is good place to start.

Through a brief series of questions, offered in English or Spanish, the Health Care Guide tool provides you with an individually tailored report outlining coverage details based on your current health care coverage or what other health coverage you may be eligible to get. You can also chose be updated by email with news about the ACA, including when new provisions personally impacting you go into effect.

The Health Care Guide is free and is also available in Spanish (Click here for English and here for Spanish). For additional information, don’t forget to visit the Department of Health and Human Services website, HealthCare.Gov.

The new health care reform law is benefiting millions of working families today and will help even more when it goes fully into effect. But legislation and lawsuits to repeal the law are making their way through legislatures and courts and Republican presidential candidates all vow to overturn the Affordable Care Act. They want to scrap new protections against insurance company abuses and scuttle policies that help working families afford quality coverage.

Visit our Health Care section on the new AFL-CIO website to find out more about what repeal of the Affordable Health Care Act would mean and about other health care issues for working families.
