By Doug Cunningham
Ten governors and the AFL-CIO pressed Wednesday for Congress to pass the jobs bill, despite Republican efforts to block it. In Boston, AFSCME members rallied to support the bill as the AFL-CIO rallied outside the offices of seventeen Republican senators who helped block the jobs bill last week. AFSCME Public Affairs Director Chris Policano.
[Policano]: “It’s going to keep both private sector and public sector jobs, it’ll protect public services and we’re talking about nearly a million more Americans losing their jobs if this bill does not get passed.”
